Wedding permits for Beaches & Parks

Information about weddings at public sites in the City of San Diego is available on the city's website. You'll also find information on the wedding location lottery, held the first Monday of every month for the upcoming year.

Large Groups:
The basic rule of thumb is that any gathering of over 75 people requires a permit from the Park and Recreation Department. A permit is also required for a voice and/or music amplification system, or use of special setup equipment (such as an inflatable party jump, dunk tank, canopy, etc.). For permit information call Regional Parks at 619-235-1169.

County Parks & Recreation Department
For locations within the County of San Diego, but not within of the City of San Diego, visit the county Parks Department's wedding venue web page or call 877.565.3600.
